1. Who we are
Vedality is published by Catrolem SARL, a French limited liability company ("Vedality", "we"). By using the Vedality application (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Who can use Vedality
You must be at least 16, or the digital age of consent in your country. You confirm providing accurate information at sign-up and keeping your credentials confidential. You are responsible for all activity on your account.
3. What Vedality offers
Vedality is an emotional support app for navigating breakups, romantic grief or periods of rebuilding. The Service includes an AI coach, writing tools (journal), audios, streaks (no-contact, no-stalk), a moderated community and healing journeys. Vedality is NOT a medical, psychological or therapeutic service. The content and AI coach responses are informational and supportive, never a diagnosis or treatment. Vedality does not replace consultation with a qualified health professional. In a life-threatening emergency or in case of suicidal thoughts, contact emergency services immediately: in France 15 (SAMU), 112 (European emergency), or 3114 (suicide prevention).
4. Vedality+ subscription, free trial and payment
Vedality offers limited free access and a paid Vedality+ subscription (monthly or yearly). Free trial: 4 free trial days are offered at sign-up, with no credit card required. After the trial, access to Vedality+ features is suspended until you take a paid subscription. How you pay depends on where you subscribe: • On the App Store (iOS): the subscription is sold and billed by Apple, the Merchant of Record. Apple's standard terms and refund policy apply (reportaproblem.apple.com). • On Google Play (Android): the subscription is sold and billed by Google, the Merchant of Record. Google's standard terms and refund policy apply (play.google.com/store/account). • On the web (vedality.com): the subscription is sold directly by Catrolem SARL. Card payments are securely processed by our payment processor Stripe Payments Europe Ltd. We use RevenueCat to manage the subscription lifecycle. Renewal: the subscription auto-renews at the end of each period (monthly or yearly) at the then-current price, unless cancelled before the end of the period. Cancellation: you can cancel at any time — from your iOS Settings (Apple), Google Play account (Android), or directly from your Vedality profile (web). You keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for.

6. Acceptable use
You agree not to: • use the Service for unlawful, fraudulent or harmful purposes; • harass, threaten, insult or harm other community members; • post hateful, discriminatory, sexually explicit, violent or illegal content; • attempt to bypass technical limits, security probes, scraping or reverse engineering; • resell, redistribute or commercially exploit the Service; • upload malware or interfere with the infrastructure; • use the AI coach to generate illegal content, deepfakes, CSAM, hate speech, malware or to bypass its safeguards (jailbreaking); • impersonate a health professional or give medical advice to other users.
7. AI coach — specific rules
Vedality's AI coach is a conversational assistant tool based on third-party language models. You are responsible for your prompts and for how you use the generated responses. Accuracy: responses may contain inaccuracies, errors or content not suited to your situation. Do not rely on responses for medical, psychological, legal or financial decisions without validation by a qualified professional. Moderation: we reserve the right to filter, refuse or moderate AI coach responses, and to suspend access in case of abusive or non-compliant use. Ownership: you keep the rights to your prompts (inputs). The generated responses are provided to you for personal non-commercial use. If you believe an output infringes your rights, contact us at legal@vedality.app to report it.
8. Intellectual property
Vedality, its name, logo, design, code, editorial content, audios and educational material are the exclusive property of Catrolem SARL or its licensors, protected by French and international law. We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive and non-transferable license to use the Service during your subscription, within the features of your plan. You keep ownership of the content you publish (journal, community posts). You grant us a limited license to host, process and display this content solely to provide the Service.
9. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your access, without notice if necessary, in case of: breach of these terms, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated violations of community rules. You may terminate your account at any time from your profile. On termination, your data will be deleted or anonymized in accordance with our Privacy Policy, subject to legal retention obligations.
10. Warranties and liability
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or fit for a particular purpose. To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties. Our total liability to you, all causes combined, is capped at the total amount paid by you in the 12 months preceding the triggering event. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, loss of profits, loss of data or loss of opportunity. No limitation applies in case of fraud, gross fault, harm to life or physical integrity, nor in any other case where the law prohibits it.
11. Personal data
Processing of your personal data is described in our Privacy Policy. By using Vedality you acknowledge having read it.
12. Modifications
We may modify these terms at any time. Substantial changes will be notified to you (email or in-app notification) at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after this date implies acceptance.
13. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by French law. Any dispute relating to their interpretation or execution falls under the exclusive jurisdiction of French courts, subject to mandatory provisions applicable to consumers.
